GolferLinkup.com - itLinkz launches Golfer matchup

    golferlinkup

After launching Nurse Linkup, where professional nurses can meet and interact with others in nursing, itLinkz recently took the same social networking idea to the world of golfing. Now if you want to link up with others who enjoy the glorious sport of golf, you can make your profile, start a blog and add friends. The site also features articles and news stories, and commenting features are included. You can expand your knowledge of the sport while connecting and sharing with others.

    In their own words

iLinkz describes their company as “itLinkz Corporation is a leading developer of social networking web sites for a wide variety of professional, community and hobbyist groups in the United States. itLinkz was launched to meet the growing demand for virtual communities interacting via the Internet. Our sophisticated, yet easy to use software allows our members to create dynamic online communities where they can connect on both a personal and professional level with people who share similar interests. Users are able to collaborate and share knowledge and openly exchange their opinions and experiences.”

    Some questions

Is this just another cookie cutter social networking site? Why do I say this? If you go to the forums section, you might have noticed that there is a glaring copy and paste error. “Welcome to Golfer Linkup Forums. Here you will be able to ask questions, express opinions, respond to others and get actively involved in a variety of nursing-related forums and discussions.” Are they really passionate about the sport and want to bring together fans and players, or is this just like their nursing social networking site with the word “golf” in place of “nursing?” The mistake seems little more than a typo and is a somewhat troubling. Might they also feature streaming video and audio clips in their news feeds? Also allowing users to upload their own videos to their blogs might also increase user satisfaction.
