In their own words
“Social Networking has been around for ages – names like Orkut, Myspace, Facebook, Bebo, Yahoo!360, Xanga and LinkedIn have become a part of our everyday lives. Studies show as many as 65% of adult Internet users belong to at least one social networking site.
Well, it’s about time God takes over Social Networking isn’t it?
Godkut aims to create the largest faith-based social network in the world. We envision a world where peace, love and unity overtake religion and prejudice; a world without walls, where people can relate with one another as creations of ONE creator – irrespective of their religious beliefs or practices.”
Why it might be a killer
The site’s intent is good. While it may not be the most advanced faith based social network, it makes a good attempt. All sorts of religions are represented and people from all faiths have joined the site. It could provide a viable springboard for real discussion and questioning.
Some questions
GodKut has a rather bland interface. It’s got all the normal features of every other social network, but nothing makes it outstanding. What’s with the name?
