FUZGO.COM is a new localized social networking utility.

Fuzgo’s main feature allows users to connect with their neighbours through a map interface, all while maintaining a safe level of privacy. Localizing event listings, classifieds, and online communities, Fuzgo offers a targeted web based medium to promote community interaction and involvement. People can organize block watches, raise local issues, and socialize with people living in their area.

Unlike other businesses that wait to become profitable before starting any charitable efforts, Fuzgo intends to start from its inception. Through the creation of the Fuzgo Cares Network, its members can optionally choose to donate $1 a month to be distributed to partnering charities. Currently Fuzgo has committed to helping raise funds through the Fuzgo Care Network for the BC Children’s Hospital and Covenant House. With an initiative like this, Fuzgo hopes to bring “social consciousness” into social networking at a local level.

Social networking is too broad and general and loses its relevance at a local level. With Fuzgo, community centers, restaurants, salons, movie theaters, bars, coffee shops and the myriad of local businesses and community programs that operate in any city can now connect and advertise directly to people in their local community.

Through Fuzgo, users can not only create personal and business profiles, they will soon have the option of creating online video ads to promote their businesses. Online videos ads will provide small businesses the ability to target their video ads to people who are most likely to visit them.
