In their own words
¨Welcome to FAQQLY, an online community that allows its users to ask and answer questions, borrow and lend physical possessions, and give and receive help from each other using the preexisting resources in their communities.¨
Why it might be a killer
Faqqly.com taps into the curiosity of internet users. People will feel at ease asking questions anonymously and those with important answers to share can write as much as they like and provide information to interested parties. Even if a viewer doesn’t have questions or answers there is still a lot to read and enjoy on the site. For example, interviews with the Guild of Outside Writers and a man with a penchant for taxidermy and tattoos. Bored office lemmings will have a blast reading up on interesting people and can enjoy the fresh ideas and questions that are introduced.
Some questions
The downfalls of this site are that the questions are lame. Asking people ¨What are you doing? ¨ and ¨What makes you special¨ is not very interesting to anyone. And to get access to the hourly questions you have to be a member, which might be obvious, but a potential member will not be motivated to join with questions like ¨What inspires you?" How can first time viewers be motivated to join? Posting more interactive questions will help boost the viewer’s first impression and spark some curiosity. It is questionable as to whether or not this site provides enough entertainment to survive.
