eSocialLife.com - A Myspace Clone that Out Does Myspace

Making a list of all the social networks on the net? Well, here’s another one to add to the group; it’s called eSocialLife. Geared at the young professional crowd (who else?), eSocialLife’s hook is private conferencing.

The young and hip can socialize, network and mingle in password protected conference rooms. It’s also got all the regular fixings—photos (lots of them), embedded video, blogs, vlogs, chatting, and custom backgrounds. For even more fun, try out the animated photo albums and the music players. Networking for the happy hour crowd. If you’re Myspace fan who doesn’t actually want to joing Myspace, eSocialLife is almost a perfect double.

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, eSocialLife is a Myspace homage. It’s got the same aesthetic craziness, the same ‘hey let’s have a couple of Long Island iced teas while we watch Death from Above music videos’ uber hyperness so beloved of alt kids. It’s a place for pics, fun, more pics of alcohol fueled fun.

Could eSocialLife get any more gauche? Or ugly? The randomly structured profile pages are out of control. The site uses Windows Media player. The photos are all oddly stretched and morphed. It’s worse than MySpace. Who will be drawn to such an eyesore?
