    ENeighbors.com - Neighborhoods Newsletters Online

    eneighbors

For $83 a month, your neighborhood can create, edit, and publish its own newsletter with live updates. Touted as particularly beneficial to neighborhoods with homeowner associations or similar groups, this site is another online tool in the quest to streamline and improve communication. It also brags that it would save a lot of money, as many neighborhood groups spend hundreds of dollars, if not more, on writing and distributing paper newsletters. The site comes with many useful features, including templates for creating newsletters with all the standard information, and options for daily updates. The site itself is professionally designed and managed, and seems a good option for those neighborhoods that do whittle away precious homeowner fees on communications.

    In their own words

"We believe that communication is critical to the vitality of a neighborhood. Through communication, we get to know our neighbors, become involved in our community, and maintain a safe environment. Given the importance of communication, it's surprising to find that many neighborhoods still rely on paper directories and costly newsletters sent through the mail. eNeighbors has created an online tool that helps neighborhoods improve communication and save money."

Why it might be a killer

Supposedly there are many homeowner associations and neighborhood groups out there that communicate expensively and inefficiently. This is a good tool to improve that communication niche.

    Some questions

Do homeowner associations and neighborhood groups still publish costly paper newsletters? How are they marketing this site to those targeted organizations? How many organizations have paid for this service thus far?
