We all have low days, and we all have days when we are so happy it is almost frightening. What we all might not have is a way to express or share our feelings. Sometimes a feeling is most protected when it is not said out loud- not judged by other people. For times like these, Emotionr.com can be the ideal outlet. As soon as the page loads, visitors see a rainbow scale where they can rate their happiness or sadness or ehh-ness from 1-10. A cute little face is posed next to the scale to demonstate the meaning of the chosen value so people can be sure that their face matches the face given to the level they have chosen. After choosing an emotion level, users can write a few words saying why they feel the way they do. Asking people to make their reasoning short is great because it helps the mind narrow down problems and focus on the main issues. Users can also add a photo to demonstrate their feelings. To choose a feeling and write about it, users must be logged in and their emotion is saved. Over time, users can track their happiness and find out about other people´s emotions. Realizing that other people are happy and sad for various reasons helps to put ones own life into perspective. Other cool features include rankings of Happiest Countries and Happiest Groups.

" Emotionr was built by two guys, Elmo Saukko and Arto Aaltonen from Finland who want to listen their feelings, follow their heart and make the World a better place. The idea about a website that "tells you how the world is feeling" came up to Elmo in 2005 autumn, when Elmo was in army. Back in the army Elmo was wondering that he seemed to felt happier a half a year back before the army. He wanted to compare his current feelings to feelings before the army, and figure out what made him happier back then. And in a different environment such as the army is in Finland, he also wanted to track down all his feelings during the army days. So he came up with the idea of a website that would help you to track your feelings, to keep a diary about your happiness. And within that website, all the posts you would make about your happiness, would combine in to all kinds of statistics that would tell how the world is currently feeling.
So when Elmo got out of the army, he met up with Arto and they decided to build the site, because the idea sounded crazy enough."
