Changents.com - Supporting Rockstars of Social Change

    changents

Changents.com is a online social network that strives to make the world the a better place by bringing together leaders in social revolution, or “change agents,” and their “backers,” their followers, who assist and support them. Causes fought for are social, educational, environmental, humanitarian, and political. The backers can offer various types of support to the change agents, ranging from providing volunteer effort, to spreading the word about a cause. Contact information is exchanged between the two players, but they have the power to decide exactly how involved the relationship will become.

    In their own words

"We enable Change Agents and members of our community around the world to broadcast their amazing stories of creating change and mobilize help from friends everywhere. Through the Changents site, and shortly through portable extensions of Changents on sites across the Internet, Change Agents are able to team-up with a receptive audience of Backers who can respond to, spread, support and consume their innovations and ideas. Change Agent stories are told and can be shared Internet-wide through short videos, photos, podcasts, original music, live chat events and in many other ways."

Why it might be a killer

Changents is a well-organized and developed with a great cause. It brings together the two players in philanthropic efforts—the doers and the supporters. To thrive, there must be an adequate number of participants.
