    AnglingMasters.com - Fishing Anyone?

    anglingmasters

Who says fishermen...er, anglers...aren"t social? Angling Masters is the MySpace for anglers, allowing them to create their own profile (called a cabin) with photos, friends, blogs, messages, etc. (ie., "Favorite Fishing Experience" is one of the main categories). But anglers like fishing more than socializing, and this site knows it. The site is as dedicated to online fishing tournaments as they are to the social networking aspect. The site sponsors a angling ranking system that allows anglers of all experiences in North America to compete and compare (normally that is just reserved for professionals). This site is slick, clever, and professional, and if I were an angler, I"d join in a heartbeat (plus, the anglers I saw on the site were cute!)

    In their own words

Angling Masters is the world"s largest online fishing community, providing personal Cabin web profiles for anglers, and dedicated Marina and Lodge pages for businesses to promote their products and services. Angling Masters is for Bass Fishing, Trout Fishing, Walleye Fishing, and all anglers alike.

Why it might be a killer

Fishing is a sport like any other, and this site vows to create the largest online fishing community in the world(well, at least in North America). The site is sophisticated, savvy, and understands the angling community. They already have quite a few sponsors on the site.

    Some questions

How large is the fishing community? How many anglers have created "cabins"? Do they participate in these online angling tournaments? Are they going to get big name anglers to participate on the site to increase credibility, traffic and interest?
