AllSmackTalk.com - The Sports Social Network

    AllSmackTalk

AllSmackTalk differs from previous social networks, where users mainly network with existing friends or contacts, by encouraging the user to meet new Team Mates (friends) and Rivals. The Smack Boards are a great way to do this where users can jump right in and meet other users who are fans or haters of their team. The Smack Boards are a modernized Web 2.0 Message Board system that are simple to use, allow for easy uploading of multimedia, and are designed to take after the standard blog-like layout of today that most current internet users are accustomed to instead of the bulletin board style system of the past. The Smack Boards are fully integrated with the Social Networking features allowing you to add friends or rivals from the boards and see when Team Mates or Rivals post in the newsfeed. AllSmackTalk is the first social networking site to embrace and modernize the message board systems of the past, which could be considered the original social networks, and integrate them with a traditional social network allowing you not only to network with people you already know, but encourage interaction and networking with new people...including Rivals, another first for a social network. Users can also utilize their profile to list upcoming games they will be attending as well as see what other users also attending the game.

    In their own words

“AllSmackTalk is the premier online social utility for sports fans on the web allowing you to discuss your favorite teams and sports, upload videos and photos, win awards and prizes and make rivals.”

Why it might be a killer

Because of its full embrace of the attachment and rivalry that takes place in all sports. It is the small touches to the site that we feel really show our understanding of the sport fan, and take the site from just another web 2.0 site…to a killer site. These include the ability to add rivals as well as friends, so you can keep tab on rivals without soiling up your friends list; the inability to switch your favorite team, weeding out any bandwagon fans, and the ability to display and view what games you and your friends are attending.

    Some questions

How will this site attract new users? How will the site advertise itself?
