The first social network designed for video game fanatics by other video game fanatics, PWNED.com looks to bring gamers of all ages together from across the globe. The site covers just about every aspect of social networking and gaming out there, so there´s no lack of options or activity on the site. The Forums and Shoutbox let you converse and network with other users, and you can also create a Clan or join an existing one. There are sections for blogging, reading or writing game reviews, “Narticles” (articles about gaming or other topics of interest to PWNED members), videos, polls, and an online arcade. Members earn Pwned points for simply participating on the site, and, once the site comes out of Beta, will be able to redeem points for prizes like cash, an iPod, a Nintendo Wii, video games, etc. To encourage early users, the site promises to double all points earned during the Beta period. PWNED.com is a participant in Google Open Social, Google´s new open network for online social networking.

By bringing together so many aspects of gaming and social networking, together with videos, trailers, reviews, and a chance at winning great prizes for simple participation, PWNED.com could become a central site for gamers to come together online. The site already has a lot of ads targeted at gamers, so it´s obviously an appealing site to advertisers.
