Xavier University is a private coeducational university located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Xavier provides a liberal arts education in the Catholic, Jesuit tradition.
Its mission is to educate, and its essential activity is the interaction of students and faculty in an educational experience. This experience is characterized by critical thinking and articulate expression with specific attention given to ethical issues and values. At the undergraduate level, students can choose from 70 majors in the colleges of Arts and Science, Social Science, and the Williams College of Business. In addition to that, this university offers a wide range of minors and co-curricular activities, as well as pre-professional programs in medicine, dentistry, law, pharmacy, mortuary science and engineering. The programs for Graduate are offered in business, education, psychology, health services administration, nursing, criminal justice, English, theology and humanities. Xavier University has become a very important member of the Cincinnati community through its public lectures, theater and music performances, and other outreach and service activities.
