The Utah National Parks Council provides training, volunteer resources and service facilities to the Boys Scouts of America. The services rendered by the Council are spotlighted on its website, which can be reached at UtahScouts.org. The site includes a camp locator and a directory detailing the sectors and districts that make up the Utah National Parks Council. A calendar of events is provided as well, and featured events are highlighted on the main page along with the latest news appertaining to scouting. Other sections of the site that merit a mention include the ones entitled “Health/safety” (where materials dealing with emergency preparedness can be readily procured) and the “Training/Recognition” pages, which collect information on issues such as distinctions and honors that are conferred upon leaders along with general training information. For its part, a “Resources” section features scoutmaster’s minutes and information on flag codes along with miscellanea like weather information.
