For all those reasons you should hit this website, official site of SFWA, an association founded by Damon Knight in 1922 and which includes most professional writers of science fiction and fantasy in North America and many from elsewhere in the globe. You can subscribe to SFWA's quarterly publication and have access to other publications such as "The SFWA European Hall of Fame", "Nebula Awards Showcase" or "SFWA Bulletin", which is published quarterly and is the public voice of this organization. Within that publication you will find informative reports and articles about the business of writing and selling science fiction and fantasy.
