Scale Back Alabama is a statewide campaign designed to encourage Alabamians to get healthier by losing weight and exercising. This project was created by the Alabama Hospital Association and the Alabama Department of Public Health, with generous underwriting from Barber’s Dairies, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama, and the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries. All together seeks to provide services that improve and protect the public’s health through disease prevention and the assurance of public health services. The registration for Scale Back Alabama is officially over, if you are one of those people who did not register or weigh in, you can join this competition next year. Now the competition has ended, but you can use the lesson plans and resource listed on this website at the left hand side of the homepage, to start a personal healthy lifestyle program.
