PotSpace, as you might have guessed by now, is MySpace for marijuana lovers and smokers. You need to be 18 or older to enter the site, and once you’re in you will be able to meet people who share your interests, and make new buddies or maybe lovers. As is the case with most social networks, people can get buddy lists (which get displayed in the profile area), private messaging, comment boxes, a blog, plus users can rate each other. Profiles support videos and image galleries, but they don’t seem to be too popular in the community of PotSpace users, as most of the profiles I checked out don’t carry any. While signing up is completely free, a paid premium option is available and allows users to keep their profiles private, and accessible to buddies only. Interestingly, music bands or artists who want to have a PotSpace can create a profile and upload their original material and take advantage of the wonders of social network to spread the word about themselves and upcoming shows, records, and other events.
