This is the website of the Orange County Public Library which has a network of community libraries. There are 33 branches and an outlet for the Orangewood Children’s Home. Their aim is to satisfy the needs of the individual, groups and various communities in the area, through their highly qualified and friendly staff. You can explore what the library has to offer: resources related to learning, leisure, business and community interaction. Apart from books,the materials available for use include newspapers, magazines, large print books, telephone books, government documents, and audio-visual materials such as CDs, DVDs cassettes, video cassettes and talking books. There are special services offered at particular branches such as reading for those who suffer from impaired vision, special subject collections like music scores and cook books, and collections in languages such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Spanish and Farsi. Borrowing privileges include loaning books for a period of 3 weeks. Best-seller books, magazines entertainment videos are only lent out for one week. If you are overdue in returning your books, you will be fined 25cents a day. Inter-library loan services are also available so it’s a good idea to check out the library catalog first. Internet terminals for children minimize access to children, access to inappropriate sites.
