The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation can be found online at NCSBI.gov. Said Bureau is a division of the Department of Justice, and its main role is to assist local law enforcement agencies when it comes to criminal investigations. The Bureau itself consists of several units that employ cutting edge technology in order to track criminals and apprehend them; and some of the fields that the SBI has jurisdiction in include drug investigations, election laws, arson investigations and child sexual abuse in day care centers. As a result, the site is split into categories that match said areas, and describe the steps that the Bureau takes so that the law will be upheld. For instance, there is a section which is entitled “Internet Crimes Against Children”, whilst another section that goes by the name of “Drug Enforcement” deals with the aforementioned investigations. Crime statistics are likewise available online, and the site links to other connected pages such as the Department of Justice of North Carolina.
