NAPFA is the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors. It is the nation’s leading organization dedicated to the advancement of Fee-Only comprehensive financial planning. What it does? Consumers and the media look to NAPFA for access to financial advisors who meet the highest standards for professional competency, comprehensive financial planning, and Fee-Only compensation. At the left hand side of the homepage there are some categories that provide information for consumers about the NAPFA community, its conferences, how to become a member and its benefits, the calendar of events, its learning center, the career opportunities, and an online store. There are three categories of membership: the NAPFA-Registered Financial Advisor, Provisional Member, and the Sustaining Member. You can take a look at the specific eligibility requirements and see which category is the right for you. What is more, fee-only professionals who do not meet the criteria but who wish to become affiliated with NAPFA may do so through three classifications of affiliation: Financial Services, Academic, and Student Affiliates.
