MassMedBoard.Org is the official website of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. It includes the Board of Registration in Medicine that was established in 1984. It consists of seven members, five physicians and two public members, who are appointed by the Governor for staggered three-year terms. This board’s mission is to serve the public by striving to ensure that only qualified physicians are licensed to practice in the Commonwealth. Why? To ensure that those physicians and health care institutions in which they practice provide to their patients a high standard of care, and to support an environment that maximizes the high quality of health care in Massachusetts. This website offers some online services for residents, businesses, visitors, and government. At the left hand side of the homepage there are some categories that visitors can use to browse the site. Some of these categories are Physician Profiles, Consumer Information, Information for Physicians, Acupuncture, Complaint Committee, and a lot more.
