Ldsplanet.com is a social network with one clear goal: help singles in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meet other singles of the same confession. The community works in English and attracts mainly US residents, but all members of the church are invited and welcome. Ldsplanet.com works very much like any other social networking site: in order to browse profiles, users have to create an account as members, and describe themselves and their interests, indicate intensity of church activity, upload a picture and that’s mainly it. The site is not very high tech (there is no instant messaging service, for instance and the design could definitely be improved), but it certainly serves the interests and needs of its target audience.
