Jamestown.org was founded in 1984 by William Geimer. His and the organization’s aim is to promote critical thinking and provide information about those societies that are relevant for the United States’ future. Among their milestones they have contributed to the spread of democracy in the former Communist bloc countries of the Soviet Union. Furthermore, they want to inform and educate people so that they are aware of important global facts. On the main page of the web site there is a navigator bar containing: publications, news, events, press releases, resources, authors, support, employment, etc. Within the publications section you will see current publication, such as: China brief, Eurasia Daily Monitor, North Korea Review, Spotlight on Terror, Terrorism Focus, etc. In the news archives link, you will access to tons of articles about diverse movements, organizations, terrorism, and other topics.
