Founded in nineteen hundred and nineteen after the first world war, the International Labor Organization was created as a world wide organization that would try to promote peace, social justice and international recognition of human and labor rights. The main premise being back then, that a happy work force would not wage war. They are devoted to improving work conditions, and to give all men and women a decent opportunity to get work, in a correct and fair working environment. The organization became part of the united Nations in nineteen forty six, but through out its history it has maintained and developed a system of labor standards for the entire international community.
