The critics have not been dispensing any charity with this movie, and I haven’t seen it myself, though based on the original poster mimicking the uberfamous Ono/Lennon shot, there might be some hope for Good Luck Chuck: at least their site’s art direction is very nice, as are their animations. Features are correct and very web 2.0: one can watch trailers online and some online-only clips, get codes to embed them in any white patch the internet or one’s social network profile has to offer, listen to the soundtrack online and get links to download the songs from iTunes or buy the movie from there too. There’s information and schedules for pay-per-view for most of the largest networks, and users can subscribe to Pinger, a service which lets them receive prerecorded voice messages from the cast on their mobile phones; links to MySpace profiles are also available, alongside with video eCards, games, buddy icons, animated gifs, and other exclusive content. The only major problem I found on the site is that is that each link opens a new tab, which is definitely not my idea of comfortable browsing.
