    Get-Flash.com - Sort of Freeware

    Get-Flash

Get-Flash.com is one of those sites you are not sure what they are about: a site whose most important claim/service/offer is “Get Flash Media Player Now”, announcing that with this flash player you’ll be able to reproduce and manage your digital media in a breeze. Last time I checked, Flash does that but only marginally; if you want to just manage your media library why in the name of god would you be tampering with Flash if you can get one idiot-proof app like Windows Media Player or iTunes, so one figures it must be some strange way this site has decided to try out to attract more traffic. Second thing you learn (thanks to something in the FAQs section) is that you have to pay, apparently for tech support but not for the program itself; however the amount is nowhere to be found. Third thing, this wonderful and mysterious app brings a side order of spyware removal, antivirus program and registry repair features. If you read below that, you’ll meet the fourth fact: the magical app is provided by third party freeware providers. In short, this strange marketing tactics Get-Flash.comhas put to work will probably shoo their clients away, and redirect them to Download.com, where they’ll be sure to know what they are downloading into their computer, be sure it is free, and it has the right name label on it.
