This Brazilian startup mixes social networking, blogging and a flickr-like photo hosting service: create your account and start uploading photos, and upgrade to premium services to get unlimited hosting space. Regular and VIP users can add music to their profiles, make buddies (which get displayed in the profile), post widgets, games and news, and even create a blogroll, so the platform is quite complete, though RSS subscription features would be welcome. Users can rate other users in order to determine the hottest profiles, which then get featured in the homepage, and weekly ranks of hot girls and boys are posted. The site’s interface is very nice and extremely easy to handle, as the uploading tools and personalization features are very user-friendly, plus video tutorials will be added in the near future to make it easier still. For the time being, Flogao is stressing the social network aspect, as the community is mainly made of teenagers and young people who post pictures about themselves and comment on each other.
