Just in case you’re short of evidence that the world is a crazy and dangerous place, take a look at CrimeShots.com: you’re guaranteed to lose all hope in humanity and the goodness of people after you’ve spent a while reading the stories of murder, abuse and violence, some solved by the authorities, some not, and most of them completely ignored by the media, and forgotten by the public. The goal of the site is to generate awareness on these topics, and also to provide a place where victims can be remembered and honored (you will find this in the memorials area); but happily they also feature some resources to try to get a better insight as to what the elements surrounding crime are, like statistics and psychology of crime, together with a legal dictionary. The site could definitely use some help in the design area, as the colorful lettering on black background is probably not the most comfortable way to read their stories and updates on unsolved crimes, as they usually report back on news and clues in regard to specific cases.
