The CityKids Foundation is an NPO organization that conducts youth outreach programs, training and counseling for inner city kids, at encouraging dialogue between people of different racial, ethnical and religious backgrounds. This foundation conducts very different programs for a target audience that is between 13 and 19 years old. They aim to generate either communication skills, community awareness, creativity or job opportunities; the philosophy of the Foundation is to support and encourage dialogue in order to allow children and young adults to develop their own voice, opinions and vision of reality, and through the establishment of diversity generate positive change in the communities those children belong to. The foundation has existed since 1985, and originally started its activities in New York City, but presently conducts workshops in distant communities and schools in the whole of the US. In the site users will be able to find general information on this foundation and programs plus ways in which to support or donate, an events calendar plus a small store where to buy t-shirts and books.
