The Children’s Book Council, Inc. is the non-profit trade association of publishers and packagers of trade books and related materials for children and young adults.
CBC’s work has expanded over the past 50 years to include programming that is relevant to all types of professionals that work with children and children’s books. The Children’s Book Council has cultivated fruitful relationships with other national organizations, including co-sponsoring a number of bibliographic projects of use to booksellers, teachers, librarians, and parents alike. The CBC also sponsors and co-sponsors educational programs for children’s literature professionals. The Children’s Book Council’s activities focus on promoting the use and enjoyment of children’s books as well as on projects of interest to our member publishers and other groups.
