Bridgestoaccess.com - Medicines For Patiens In Need

Bridges to Access is the GlaxoSmithKline’s patient assistance program for non-oncology medicines. This project provides GSK prescription medicines to eligible low-income patients without prescription drug benefits. During 2007, GlaxoSmithKline patient assistance programs have already provided medicines valued at almost $388 million to more than 484,000 patients. The benefited of Bridge to Access are patients that are not enrolled in Medicare Part D, the reason why they can’t afford mostly of the medicines that they need. These patients must have minimum requirements to access the benefits of the programs: they have to meet certain eligibility criteria to qualify for assistance and must enroll in Bridges to Access with the help of an Advocate. The organization has also developed a telephone enrollment process that allows initial eligibility determinations to be made quickly so that patients may obtain their prescribed GSK medicines immediately through any retail pharmacy of choice. All the information about enrollment, advocates, and medicines, is available in the site. It can be perfectly used as a guide for those who are interested.
