In their own words
¨Enter ZoomGet: When you know the kind (category) of product you want, ZoomGet shows you only what people love in that product category. In fact, even if you don't know what you want, just start browsing — it's interesting and fun. A book on physics? A kitchen tool? A movie for the kids? Others share your interests and have aired their opinions — we've sorted through it all, so you can tap the best product experience quickly and easily. You'll save time shopping, avoid mediocrity, and discover great stuff.¨
Why it might be a killer
Because people usually only write reviews when they´re really impressed with a product or absolutely hate it, ZoomGet is able to appeal to the consumer directly by displaying only the most positive reviews, breaking them up into categories of just how amazing they are. Therefore, you know exactly what was well received and what products you should buy. On a very positive note, the creator made a website free of advertisements and useless clutter. However, the table in the homepage is useless, taking up a lot of space and shows nothing of importance to the consumer.
Some questions
Can the creator find more useful statistics to use in the opening table of the homepage? Is ZoomGet in competition with Amazon or do they work together effectively?
Updates
Hi - this is Alex Z, creator of ZoomGet.com! Thanks for your review. As your hardest critique was that the homepage seemed useless, I've updated that. :-) Also, ZoomGet does not compete with Amazon at all, it's part of their Associates' program.
