TypoBuddy.com - Take Advantage Of Typos

    typobuddy

Do you know what happens when people misspell eBay listings? It appears that if someone misspells the name of the item they’re trying to sell, when you search for it, it won’t show up. This means that possibly thousands of auctions are virtually invisible. If you’re looking to save some bucks on your next eBay or Craig’s List purchase, you should check out Typobuddy.com. By searching through the site, you’ll be able to find matches that are misspelled, allowing you to theoretically save money on many things posted on the site. The idea is really great. It seems like most people have a hard time spelling the simplest of words. Before, this could have been a problem, but now it’s a really good way for you to save money. Since the site searches through eBay and Craig’s List, there’s no telling the amount of items that can be bought for less.

    In their own words

“eBay misspelling means nobody finds the misspelled auction...Find misspelled eBay auctions and typos to get the best deal!”

Why it might be a killer

Like I mentioned in the review, the idea is really good. eBay should incorporate something like this into their search algorithms.

    Some questions

Will the site be useful if eBay and Craig’s List incorporate something like it? What will they do then?
