Screening real travel photos from around the world to find out where to go - that's what TripsByPics is about. TripsByPics is a travel portal for travelers who want to discover new places and get an inspiring preview of worldwide travel spots. The question, where to go? will be answered on TripsByPics by simply viewing pictures taken from other travelers and marking them for a personal itinerary. TripsByPics is based on photos and experiences of other travelers who have actually been at a specific place. As a member you can share photos and experiences with others. On TripsByPics, photos are tagged by country, location and sight. This makes it easy for members to contribute content and for other users to find it. The steps of using TripsByPics: 1) Select a country to view random photos or favorite spots of other users. 2) View photos and mark to ones you like, by clicking the button "add to triplist" below each picture. The system stores the corresponding sights/attractions in your triplist. 3) Know where to go: In your triplist you can retrieve all of your favored travel spots - ordered and ranked by country, location and sight.

We live in a fascinating world with hundreds of countries, thousands of different places and even more sights and people to visit and meet. It is hard for travelers to answer the question "where to go" on the next trip. In the end most people travel the same route although it may not meet their individual desires. Guidebooks mostly contain only a limited number of pictures, weblogs are often widespread and unspecific and if you spot photos for a travel destination, you don't know what they show exactly. So travelers have to read through many pages to find out what might interest them – and then do some research to find pictures of these places – just to make sure that the chosen destination really meets the individual taste. TripsByPics reverses this planning process by viewing pictures, evaluating them and finally knowing where to go - out of the marked pictures.
