Automatically redirecting all searches to Google unless otherwise specified, Smplr expedites any search by allowing you to enter in “triggers” – extremely short search terms which produce results via a default website – followed by a colon. Additionally, users may directly access a url by keying in “go:” followed by the name of the site (e.g. “go: mac.com”). The site also provides a widget for the desktop, though it appears to only currently be functioning for the Mac OSX platform.
