Before you buy a car, you check out the competition to see what else is out there. There could be a slightly different model that’s more streamlined, easier to navigate, and more user-friendly. In the same way, many internet users who find a site they like want to check out similar sites to see what more they might have to offer. SimilarSites makes this easy by providing an increasingly large database of websites and lists of, well, similar sites. The database currently has about 1,200 sites, and approximately 60 new ones are added each day. To search, enter in a name of a website to generate a list of comparable sites, or just go directly to the database to access a list of similar sites directly. If you can’t find what you want, revert back to your old favorites such as Google, which are readily accessible through the bottom toolbar.

SimilarSites’ database is still really small; to what extent will its developers expand it? The Google Ads on the top and bottom are pretty obstructive and take up more than half of the interface. Could they be downsized or relocated?
