Picollator’s image based search engine is quite different from your regular Googles and Yahoos. They do say that pictures are worth a thousand words, after all, so it does make sense to find pictures based on pictures, as words often aren’t sufficient.
First of all, the fact that you have to upload a photo to find a photo, may deter users. If you already had a photo, why would you need to search for one?
