Onyomo claims to be India’s first local search engine. Its goal is to make things easier by enriching our lives with quality, up to date information—from restaurant addresses to movie schedules and pastry shops with wifi. You’ll find two search boxes to work with, the first for inputting keywords, e.g. movies, and the second for inputting location—currently the site works with a handful of Indian cities including Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Jaipur and Kolkata. Results come with ratings, description and contact information. There’s an option to text the information to your mobile as well. On the left hand side, you’ll find filters to narrow your search, for example, by drink rating, by happy hour start and end times, or by music. Alternately, users can SMS their query to 5454 to get results through their mobile.
