The Newser editors select they day's most important and most talked about stories from the top 100 news sources. With one click, you then see the summary or annotated text of that story, along with the original link and links to other related stories, or backstories. And, if nine graphics is not enough for you, you can expand it into 21 graphics. You can even rewind the stories for the past 24 hours or choose any previous day. Finally, you can also receive RSS feeds of certain topic areas and/or email stories to your friends. For Newser, it is all about the reader and how much time and information the reader wants to absorb.

As much time as most of us spend (waste?) online, it is nice when a site parses through the material and brings us a condensed version of the issues we are interested in. This is especially true in the news arena, where there is no shortage of news sites to read. I like the idea of people doing the aggregating instead of the computer, and I am particularly fond of the square layout with graphics, which helps you decide which story you really want to check out.

How do people find Newser? It is a fantastic site, but is not getting enough traffic. Where are they advertising this site? Are they making enough profit to run this site (since they do all the editing) by the Google ads?
