MotelPoint’s a motel/B&B search engine which is pretty handy for finding economical places to stay while on the road. To use it, simply enter the city and state or zipcode of your choice and MotelPoint will pull up a map with all lodgings in the area. Once you’ve found a spot you like, click on ‘Motel Details’ which will give you the phone number and address along with any reviews and comments available. Searches can be refined by distance (e.g. within 20 miles). Additionally, there’s a directory which lists accommodations state by state. MotelPoint could be a paradigm for pared down elegance. It’s simple, yet structured. Using it is a breeze. Results are relevant and informed. There are quite a few hotel search engines, but motel and B&B listings aren’t as plentiful. MotelPoint has potential.
