A song is much more than a melody that makes you want to tap your feet, it is actually accompanied by a set of lyrics that in some cases have true poetic merit. In addition to providing a context we can relate to, lyrics have a distinct advantage: they will enable you to look up any song you pick on the radio and fall in love with, but were unlucky enough to miss the name of the artist and/or tune.

Basically, Lyrster will enable you to look up the name of the composition by providing a search query that “goes something like this”. Of course, you must try to remember a representative part of the lyrics. You will find “La Cienega Just Smiled” by Ryan Adams easier if you key in the chorus (“La Cienega just smiles/as it waves goodbye”) rather than the start of the song (“Ah, the night here it comes again”).
