Hotwords has over 1.7 million keywords and phrases in the database and also holds historical reports for previous year’s top ranking words. Data is collected from various well known search engines and reports are generated many times daily so it’s easy to spot trends. This is a fantastic tool with endless possibilities. They're still in very early beta and are running at about 40% throttle in terms of data collection. Hotwords doesn’t filter adult and offensive searches because they believe in displaying a truly accurate reflection of web searches. However they are working on an optional filter system that should be operational within the next few days.
