Don’t be fooled by the name; Franceradio is a global music search engine which lets users run free mp3 searches by song or by artist. The site synchronizes other large search engines in order to generate an enormous list of results.

Currently, Franceradio is partnered with AltaVista, Yahoo!, and Google, although the search is by no means confined to just these companies. Each search result page displays not only a list of downloadable mp3s; it also produces several other relevant links (from Google Ads). Franceradio is one of the best and most accurate mp3 search engines out there. None of the results I tried led to corrupt files, irrelevant links, or ghost pages. It’s great that Franceradio filters search results by relevancy, and doesn’t give preference to its partners like so many other comparable sites do. Plus, it operates in all of the most prevalent world languages, so accessibility and ease of use could be driving forces in the expansion and success of this site.

Some of the translations are incomplete, are there plans to fix these errors? When will the forum and chat functions be available in other languages besides French? Are there any problems with copyright infringement, or does the site assume no responsibility for the legitimacy of the results produced?
