    Foodjoker.com - World Restaurant Search

    foodjoker

Whether you are at home contemplating where to take your date for dinner or in a foreign city with an empty stomach, you can use foodJoker to find the best local restaurants. foodJoker is easy to use, just enter the country that you are currently in, followed by the city, and foodJoker will come up with a list of restaurants complete with the type of food and the average price. Once you’ve entered the city of your choice, you can narrow down the search by selecting to search for only a specific type of food or the name of the restaurant. Most of the restaurants have websites and you can link directly to their homepage from foodJoker to find out more or to make reservations. foodJoker is also multilingual making it easier for people around the world to find a great place to eat.

    In their own words

“foodJoker.com is the first multilingual full content restaurant guide of the world. Reaching a traffic of millions, foodJoker provides the ultimate restaurant guide for users in 40 different countries when traveling abroad. foodJoker is the only restaurant guide where tourists and business people from all around the world can search and read about thousands of restaurants in all the main cities and destinations around the globe in 8 different languages.”

Why it might be a killer

The site does a good job at pulling together a good list of restaurants in many of the supported countries. At the moment, you are still best off using a local search engine which are usually more complete but that could change as foodJoker becomes more popular.

    Some questions

Perhaps they could consider adding a section for user’s comments so that people can get other user’s opinions about the food and ambience. As it is right now, there is no room for people to share their experiences.
