Is there any band or artist that you want to know more about? There are so many services that could provide you that information that a new one might seem a bit redundant. Fimusy is a service that packs some useful information and links, yet it also has some shortcomings that should be taken care of.





The site lets you search any artist or band, and come across the following information: a discography (including links to Amazon), a combined score for all his or her records, photos and Twitter talk. There is no biographical information on offer (a big niggle as far as I am concerned), although I have to admit that some of the pictures I came across where truly original and novel. As regards the discography that is produced, note that the date which is displayed is the release date of that particular edition. That means that some classic albums such as “Who’s Next” or “Forever Changes” come with dates that are misleading. Of course, nobody would think that “Who’s Next” was released in 1995, but that is something which should be addressed in order to give the site a more polished look.

I don’t want to end the review on a negative note, though. I really think the site has potential, and I actively defend any site that lets people know more about music and performers. I just hope these small niggles are dealt with in due time, Meanwhile, check it out for yourself and see where does it stand for you.
