Though this isn’t the first visual search using screenshots to portray web results, Eye Search is quick and relevant, and also with a Google Suggestions type tool to help you find even more relevant content. I am not sure about the authenticity of the Thumbshots survey, but I can definitely see why most people would prefer to see a preview of the website before clicking through. In this sense, Eye Search could easily do very well.
