Facebook apps seem to be multiplying faster than blogs these days but the community has been lacking a good search engine for these applications. On Clever Hippo, users can search for a term and narrow the results by daily active users, percent of active users, or most recently added. Searches are also refined by "or" and "not" strings as well as boosting which places emphasis on one search word in comparison to the others. The results are displayed in an organized and clear fashion and apps can be magnified for better viewing, or the search can be modified. There is already an app search on Facebook, but the team at Clever Hippo explains that with their service users can refine searches and find out which apps are most popular in the community.
