Cfares is an airfare search tool with a few unique features. You can do the usual low airfare search for free, or you can pay $50 a year to have access to below-market wholesale fares. You can also hunt for the lowest price as a paid (or Platinum) member through their cAgent concierge service, which is a bid-based fare finder. You put in a bid and cAgent sees if an airline can match it. This service is limited to international flights at the moment. Cfares launched a few new features recently, including an enhanced dashboard charting the comparison points between its service and other industry leaders. This display indicates your search results in a chart showing the differences between flight time and airline, offering more transparency to airfare search and where to find the cheapest fare.

They had a strong emphasis on customer service in their description of themeselves, and seem committed to updating and growing the site and its offerings. They recently received $4 million in investor capital to grow the service.

In my quick international fare search, the prices were not any less expensive than I got on other sites, even looking at the wholesale prices. Of course I did not try the bidding process. Still, do they have some kind of guarantee or proof that the wholesale prices are a less expensive deal? If I was going to pay $50 a year for this service, I would want to make sure I was saving at least $50 on my purchases. Where are the testimonials or guarantees from the site?
