Another newcomer in the genre-specific search sector is Blogoat, an unpretentious search engine which lets you run queries only across the blogosphere. To use Blogoat, enter in a search term or use one of the popular tags displayed below the search bar. You’ll be presented with a list of results that highlight where your terms are mentioned in a given blog, along with the name and title of the source. Logically, you can access your search results directly by clickin on the url, or you can subscribe to an RSS feed for your search term.

Results can be sorted by either date or relevance.

I tried Blogoat, and while overall I found it to be accurate, occasionally there were some results that didn’t come from blogs (most often these inclusions where from news websites). Are these sites included on purpose?
