    Blingo.com - Search & Win

    blingo

Win while you search the web with Blingo. Just use Blingo the same way you'd use a regular search engine, like Google or Yahoo. But Blingo is different because you may also win a prize just for using this free service. They use a portion of the money they earn from sponsored results to buy prizes, allowing to give away prizes all day every day. You never know when. The more users they get, the more prizes they’ll give away. You don't have to register to win, and there aren't any offers you'll have to sign up for. Each day Blingo's prize program chooses a bunch of winning times. The first person to search after a winning time wins the prize, with the condition that you must live in the United States. To date Blingo has given away 47,000 prizes, ranging from movie tickets to new cars.

    In their own words

“Welcome to Blingo, the Google-powered search engine with a twist. Each search on Blingo is also a chance to win prizes like a new car, cash, and much more.”

Why it might be a killer

Blingo stands out from the rest of the search engines because it gives away prizes to users just for searching. Blingo has created an interesting word-of-mouth campaign to expand its audience, encouraging users to register and then to refer friends to the site. If a friend wins a prize, the person who referred him or her gets the same award. It also makes sense to align with Google, the world's leading search site, reassuring users that they are getting unbiased results not tied to the incentives that Blingo offers.

    Some questions

Will Blingo have its own toolbar? How many expensive prices are they going to, in fact, deliver?
