AudioRaider is a simple search engine which lets you plug in the name of an artist, album, or song to generate a list of downloadable results. Audio Raider is not a file-hosting service, nor does it have any relation to any of the links it provides; rather, the search engine pulls results from Google and simply filters out anything that doesn't link to an actual sound archive.

The results are collected from file-hosting servers and indexes, so you can listen to them right then and there. AudioRaider claims that you can download the music that your search results lead to, but in practice this doesn't really work since all of the files are simply being hosted by another server and aren't available for download.

AudioRaider manages to take some of the guesswork out of simply running a standard Google search for music files, since it filters out results that don't link to mp3 files.

AudioRaider's claims exaggerate what the search engine actually does. Its slogan boasts "Discover New Music For Free". In actuality, it's more like "Finding Music That You Already Know And Can't Download Even Though We Say You Can". None of the searches I ran produced downloadable sound clips or music torrents. There's also no elements of the search engine that would help you to discover new music; it's not like an online radio server such as Pandora that lets you listen to related music when you search for a specific artist or song. Disappointing.
